Bergheimsnosi is one of the most extreme viewpoints over the Lustrafjord. Here you can see all the way out to Årdalsfjorden in the south and further inland to the end of the world's longest fjord.
The top of Bergheimsnosi is 900 meters above sea level and from the fjord and up, the easiest access is via the highland. Bergheim , which is located 350 m.
From the fjord at Talsete there is a good tractor road to Bergheim .
From Bergheim you can walk along the path towards Bergheimsstølen, which leads further into Feigedaleen. When you are up at Bergheimsstølen you have gained another 200 meters in altitude. Bergheimsstølen was the spring farm for the two farms on Bergheim This was a nice farm with fine hayfields framed by impressive grey stone walls.
But there is little left to see of the farm itself. The farm buildings are almost completely gone, only the sturdy walls remain. In other places, the farm embankments have also grown over and are mostly covered with planted spruce forest.
The hike continues along the path inland for about 500 meters, before turning left and starting the climb up Stølsgjelet. The last 400 meters of elevation gain are demanding and are in steep forest terrain with partial path.
At the top, you get a fantastic view and a wide view over large parts of the municipality and the surrounding mountains. You have vertical mountain slopes below you on three sides.
