About

“We have built a special cabin, there is only one cabin like this - there is only one place like this - and you get to have it all to yourself.”

Hallvard and Thomas come from Gaupne, but now they live and work on developing their farms in Sørheim Hallvard has a large raspberry production, dairy cows and is in the process of establishing a large apple orchard with many thousands of apple trees.

Thomas is in the process of building up his farm for sheep with the good mountain pastures in Feigedalen as an important raw material base.

Both aim to use all resources on the farm in a sustainable way. We want the farms to be able to operate to produce safe and good food for many generations to come.

The area on the south side of Lusterfjorden is close to the world heritage site Urnes Stave Church and we want to create activities that encourage more people to visit, stay and live on the south side and near the world heritage site at Urnes. Based on our farms and the rights that come with it, this is a unique area for experiences in quiet wilderness off the beaten track with spectacular nature – from the fjord, through valleys with fantastic waterfalls to quiet mountain bogs and the high mountains.

We have spent much of our free time since we were little in this wilderness. We know the history, everything from mining, sheep farming and reindeer herding in the area. Our knowledge and experience will give our guests the unique qualities that make the tours exciting experiences, often in encounters with wild reindeer and the best fishing lakes.

« If you're hunting in the wilderness, you can hardly find a better place »
— Tor Yttri about Feigedalen in the book "To the mountains in Sogn and Jotunheimen"

The people behind

Thomas Sørheim Evjestad

Hallvard Sørheim Evjestad

Hallvard and Thomas Sørheim Evjestad has been surrounded by mountains since he was 5-6 years old. Sørheim like a playpen.

They have always sought out new experiences in the forest and fields and not least in the high mountains, often with a fishing rod in hand. No one knows the mountains and the best fishing lakes on the Lustra Peninsula better. These experiences and activities laid the foundation for both of them being among the best cross-country skiers in the country as boys and juniors.

They have given up their pursuit of top sports and are currently living and working as self-employed people in Sørheim .

Hallvard attended high school at NTG Lillehammer, cross-country skiing, Lillehammer University College, psychology studies, business management at UAF Fairbanks, Alaska. Today he is a fruit and berry grower, dairy farmer and director of Lerum Industrial Museum.

Thomas attended NTG Lillehammer cross-country skiing, has a bachelor's degree in economics and law, a half-year course in outdoor life with freeriding in Chamonix, and a boatman's certificate. He is now a carpenter, sheep farmer and has, among other things, many years of experience from guiding on the fjord (RIB), and in the forest and mountains.

Experience Norwegian nature up close, with spectacular views of the Sognefjord.
