Bergheim

This is a nice day trip that takes about 3-5 hours and includes a tour of the farmyard.

One of the buildings in particular, the "Gamlestova", stands out. The Gamlestova was built in the 18th century, but is still in its original condition. Here you can get a good insight into what life was like for people who made their living on a mountain shelf above the Sognefjord 300 years ago.

After the round trip, we walk down to the cliff facing the Sognefjord. Here we rest a bit and maybe have some food while enjoying the view over the fjord and hearing the Feigefossen waterfall roaring just a few hundred meters away.

This is a hike that most people can do. It gives a fantastic view of the fjord and the surrounding landscape, and not least it is a cultural and historical experience. It is about 2 km each way on a good tractor road.
